BERKELEY - The California women's lacrosse team has one final tune-up before the postseason begins. The Golden Bears host their rival No. 13 Stanford Friday night from California Memorial Stadium.

This game will be Cal's annual One Love game, dedicated to their efforts to support the One Love Foundation, which strives to end relationship violence. Cal and Stanford both fight to raise awareness for the cause and will unify to wear the same warm up shirts and commemorative patches.

Cal (6-10, 2-7), is coming off of a productive weekend last week, beating Oregon, 15-13, and playing No. 16 Colorado tough. The Bears hung in with the Buffaloes until the Pac-12 leaders pulled away at the end to leave Berkeley with an 18-11 win.

Kirsten Swanson led the charge for the Cal offense last week, posting a career-best five goals against the Ducks before registering a team-best four points (three goals, one assist) against the Buffaloes. Swanson's fifth tally against Oregon ended the Ducks late comeback effort and clinched the win for the Bears.

While Swanson currently leads the Cal scoring this season with 49 points on 38 goals and 11 assists, she is one of 13 Bears to score at least one point and one goal this season. Eight of the 13 goal scorers have tallied 10 or more scores.

Caroline Corzel has also been an offensive force during this current four-game homestand, boasting hat tricks in the previous three games. Corzel has four hat tricks this season. Her season high in points came in the season opener at UC Davis with four (two goals, two assists).

Defensively, Meredith Haggerty leads the charge with 18 caused turnovers as one of the most aggressive players on the field at all times. Elizabeth Koehler tops Cal's season charts in ground balls (37) and draws (70). Koehler's 70 draws rank second in school single-season history, and also fourth in the Pac-12 rankings. Haggerty is right behind Koehler on that list in third with 64 draws. Both Bears have registered nine draws in a game during this current four-game homestand - Koehler vs. Fresno State and Haggerty vs. Colorado.

Haggerty ranks second in school history in career draws with 143 and she ranks tied for second in career caused turnovers with 60. Koehler is sixth on Cal's career list for caused turnovers with 54, while her 133 career draws rank tied for third in school history. Jenny Wilkens' 118 career ground balls rank second all-time in school history. Also on the career draws list, Chloe Landry is sixth with 119.

Wilkens made 20 saves between the two games last week - 12 vs. Oregon and 8 vs. Colorado. Her 12 saves vs. the Ducks were one shy of her season best (13 at UConn), and it marked her 18th career double-digit save performance.

Nikki Zaccaro has been a solid contributor for the Bears in the last eight games, seven of which the true freshman has started. While her season totals include 30 points on 11 goals and 19 assists (team best), Zaccaro has accumulated seven goals and 17 assists in her last eight games. She boasted her best games of the year thus far in both meetings against Arizona State. She amassed seven points in the Berkeley (3 goals, 4 assists) meeting and four last Sunday in Tempe (2 goals, 2 assists). She collected three assists vs. Fresno State and Colorado in the past two weeks.

Stanford leads the all-time series, 32-6, and the Cardinal have won the last 16 consecutive meetings. The last time the Bears beat Stanford was on Feb. 23, 2008, an 11-9 win in Berkeley.

Next week, Cal heads to Colorado for the inaugural Pac-12 Tournament from April 26-29.
