For the first time in nearly a month, California field hockey returns to home sweet home in the Bay Area. The Golden Bears begin the bulk of their America East divisional schedule this weekend, starting with a matchup against rival and No. 21 Stanford at Underhill Field on Friday at 4 p.m. The game airs live on the Pac-12 Networks. Cal rounds out the all-AE weekend at UC Davis, where the Bears meet the Aggies at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Cal has just one loss to an unranked opponent all season and is looking to snap a five-game losing streak after facing fierce competition with four top 15 opponents in the last five games. As the Bears prepare to host No. 21 Stanford, they are 3-1 at home thus far this season, with Cal's lone Underhill loss coming to then-No. 4 Maryland. Cal upset then-No. 14 Stanford on Underhill last year, 4-2.
HOW TO FOLLOW: Friday's match against Stanford airs live on the Pac-12 Network, with Troy Clardy on the call. The broadcast is also available online at www.pac-12.com/live, and on the Pac-12 Now app. There is no broadcast for Sunday's game at UC Davis, but links to live stats for both games are available on the CalBears.com schedule page.
