BERKELEY - California hosts UC Davis this week in a pivotal game towards a berth in the MPSF Tournament before hosting Stanford in a game broadcast live on the Pac-12 Networks.

The Golden Bears currently stand in seventh in the MPSF standings with a conference record of 1-3, while the Aggies are fifth at 2-2. The top six teams advance to the MPSF Tournament.

The Bears are coming off of a 20-10 victory over Saint Mary's last Friday. It was Cal's first 20-goal performance since the 2014 meeting at Saint Mary's. Susie Ropp, Elizabeth Pellechi and Kirsten Swanson all recorded hat tricks for the Bears, while Pellechi and Jena Fritts paced Cal with four points each.

Cal will try to snap a couple of losing streaks this week, as the Aggies have won the last three meetings, while the Cardinal are enjoying a 13-game winning streak over the Bears.

Jena Fritts is Cal's leading scorer with 45 points on 35 goals and 10 assists. Fritts, who paced the Bears in points and assists a year ago, has scored a career-best six goals on two separate occasions, at Butler on Feb. 24 and against William & Mary. That total tied for second best in school single-game history.

Jenny Wilkens has 13 career double-digit save performances and seven thus far in 2017. Wilkens was named MPSF Defensive Player of the Week for the third time in her career, as well as the IWLCA Fast Break Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts against UConn on March 14 and in Cal's 18-11 win over Marquette on March 16.

Cal's assist leader with 11 helpers thus far in 2017, true freshman Susie Ropp is tied for second on the team in points with 30. She has collected six points in a game twice this year and notched a career-best five goals against William & Mary on March 11.
