After beating two ranked teams in back-to-back opportunities for the first time since 2009, California hits the road for its fourth contest away from home this season when the Golden Bears face Oregon State on Saturday night in Corvallis. The Bears have won the last two meetings against the Beavers, but prior to that Oregon State had won 12 of the 15 previous meetings since 1999.

Cal is returning Kabam Field at California Memorial Stadium back into a serious home field advantage with four straight victories and seven of wins in its last eight games in Berkeley. The Bears have dropped four straight true road games since back-to-back wins at Texas and Washington in the third and fourth games of 2015 although they did beat Air Force and Hawai'i in neutral site games at the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl and the College Football Sydney Cup to close the 2015 season and open the 2016 campaign.

Cal's last two victories over No. 11/16 Texas and No. 18 Utah marked the eighth time since 1970 that Cal has won back-to-back games against ranked teams and the first since 2009. The last time Cal won more than two straight games against ranked teams came from 1947-50 when the Golden Bears rolled off seven straight victories over ranked opponents. Cal was last ranked in Week 8 of the 2015 season and is now receiving votes in both the Week 6 Amway Coaches Poll (7) and AP Top 25 (3) rankings for the second time this season.

Cal features the nation's leader in both passing touchdowns (Davis Webb, 22) and receiving touchdowns (Chad Hansen, 8, co-leader).

Webb also leads the nation in passing yards (2,143), completions (160) and passing attempts (257), while he is second in the nation and first in the Pac-12 in passing yards per game (428.6 ypg) and completions per game (32.0). Webb's efforts in Cal's victory against Utah last Saturday when he registered his fifth straight game with four or more touchdown passes and 300 or more passing yards earned him several honors including Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week.

Hansen is also second nationally in receiving yards (754), receiving yards per game (150.8 ypg) and receptions per-game (11.0 rpg).

Based on their averages over the first five games, Webb is projected to throw for 5,143 passing yards, 384 completions and 53 touchdown passes during a 12-game regular season, while Hansen would total 1,809 yards receiving, 132 receptions and 19 touchdown catches. All would be Cal school records and all but Webb's completions would also be Pac-12 marks.

Cal features the Pac-12's leading tackler in Raymond Davison with 46 tackles, while Demetris Robertson is second among receivers in the top 10 in receptions and receiving yards per game with a 20.2 yards per reception average.
