On Saturday at 10:30 a.m., Goransson and Nishimura will play the Georgetown duo of Daniel Khanin and Jack Murphy, while Smith and Jayashankar take on Peter Smith and Kaes Van't Hof in their fourth-round match.

In the consolation third round, Goransson, a sophomore, and Nishimura, a freshman, beat the team of Grant Chena and Evan Jurgensen, 8-2, while Jayashankar, a senior, and Smith, a junior, knocked off Colter Smith and Krzysztof Kwinta, 9-7.

Gregory Bayane and Chase Melton went the deepest of the Cal teams in the main draw, as the two seniors reached the round of 32. But the William & Mary duo of Aaron Chaffee/Will Juggins advanced past the Bears, who withdrew due to injury.

The tournament ends on Sunday.
