Cal-USC Postgame Notes
With today's 27-21 Cal loss, the Golden Bears fell to 5-3, 2-3, on the season. USC has now won the last 12 consecutive meetings since 2003.
Jared Goff became the 92nd player in FBS history to throw for 10,000 career yards, now with 10,018. He also increased his school records for career touchdown passes (75). Today, Goff completed 23-of-31 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns. He garnered his 23rd career multi-passing touchdown performance. He also recorded his 25th 250-yard passing performance.
Daniel Lasco scored his 18th career rushing touchdown in the third quarter. It was his first rushing score since the San Diego State game and his third this season. Lasco paced Cal in rushing with 15 tackles for 64 yards and a touchdown.
Bryce Treggs has caught a pass in 40 of the last 41 games that he has played in and his last 34 contests in a row. His first quarter touchdown reception was the 11th of his career and his third this season. He finished the day with four catches for 85 yards, a season high, along with a touchdown.
Trevor Davis hauled in a career-high five catches to go with 52 receiving yards.
Stephen Anderson caught his first touchdown this season, the sixth of his career.
Hardy Nickerson led all players in tackles with a career-high 13, surpassing his previous personal best of 11. Kyle Kragen notched 10 tackles, second best on the team.
Todd Barr notched his third sack of the season in the second quarter. He now has 7.5 for his career. Jalen Jefferson secured his second sack of the season, giving him 7.5 for his career, as well.
Kenny Lawler has caught a pass in every game he's played at Cal (31).
Today's attendance was 52,060, the most since 60,606 against Grambling State and the third time this year that Cal has eclipsed 50,000 fans this season.
