1998: saw a significant amount of playing time as one of four cornerbacks in the primary rotation ... made some impact plays during the first half of the season ... finished the year with a team-leading three interceptions for 63 yards ... also recorded 14 tackles, including a pair behind the line of scrimmage for minus 14 yards ... had a game-clinching interception that he returned 26 yards for a TD with 0:09 left in a 24-14 win over Washington State ... also made an acrobatic one-handed interception at Washington that he returned 37 yards to the Husky one-yard-line in the fourth quarter at Seattle ... final pick came at Oregon State in the second quarter, helping set up a Cal field goal.
1997: was forced to redshirt 1997 campaign after suffering a hernia during the summer that ultimately required surgery and kept him from participating on scout teams.
