• Today's result in the 90th meeting between the Bears and Huskies brings the all-time series to a mark of 48-38-4 in favor of Washington. Head coach Jeff Tedford is now 6-3 lifetime against the Huskies (including 3-1 at Memorial Stadium).

• Today was the second time under head coach Jeff Tedford that the Bears have ever needed to win their final regular season game to secure bowl eligibility. The only other time the Bears were in a similar position was in 2003, when Cal came up with a 28-16 Big Game win at Stanford for its seventh victory and a spot in the Insight Bowl against Virginia Tech.

• The Cal defense recorded its fifth first-half shutout of the year (also vs. UC Davis, vs. Colorado, at Arizona and vs. UCLA).

• In the second half, the Huskies took a lead on their first play from scrimmage with an 80-yard TD pass from QB Jake Locker to WR D'Andre Goodwin - the longest completion yielded by Cal in 2010.

• Today marked the end of the 88th season in Memorial Stadium for the Bears, who will play their home games in AT&T Park in San Francisco during the 2011 season. Cal football returns to a renovated and retrofitted Memorial Stadium in 2012.

• The Bears end the 2010 season at 5-7, Cal's season with a losing record under head coach Jeff Tedford and its first losing record since 2001, when the Bears finished 1-10. Cal's eight consecutive winning campaigns from 2002-09 tied a school record, while its seven straight bowl appearances from 2003-09 established a new mark.

• TB Shane Vereen posted career bests in nearly every category this season in 2010 with 1,167 rushing yards (No. 9 all-time at Cal) and 13 touchdowns (No. 6-T all-time at Cal) on the ground in 231 carries for a 5.1 yards per rush average. Vereen ends his junior season in 2010 among the school's career leaders in rushing touchdowns (29, No. 3-T), all-purpose yards (4,069, No. 5), rushing yards (2,834, No. 7), 100-yard rushing games (11, No. 7) and scoring (210, No. 9-T).

• LB Mike Mohamed had 14 tackles to end the regular season with a team-high 95 for an 8.6 per-game average. Mohamed also had a sack and forced fumble which was recovered and returned by Cameron Jordan for a touchdown. Mohamed has reached double digits in tackles five times this season (16 vs. Oregon; 14 vs. Washington, 14 vs. Colorado; 12 vs. Stanford, 10 at USC,) and on 11 occasions in his career. He ends his college career at No. 4 on the school's all-time tackles list with a total of 340.

• LB Mychal Kendricks had career-high-tying totals of 3.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks.

• DL Cameron Jordan, who notched six stops and 2.0 tackles for loss, had his best season at Cal in 2010, finishing with a career-high 62 tackles and 12.5 tackles for loss. Jordan also had a fumble return in the third quarter which he returned 21 yards for his second career touchdown (also a 13-yard return for TD at ASU in 2007).

• WR/RET Keenan Allen had a season and career-long 45-yard rush, finishing the game with career-highs of seven rushes and 60 yards, and team highs of four receptions for 46 yards. His eight punt return yards and 37 kick return yards gave him a total of 151 all-purpose yards. Allen also returned the first two punts of his career for eight yards.

• DB Marc Anthony made his team-leading second interception.

• LB Mychal Kendricks had career-high-tying totals of 3.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks.

• LB D.J. Holt had the first fumble recovery of his career.

• DB Josh Hill recorded a career-best three pass breakups and added a career-high 1.0 tackles for loss...

• P Bryan Anger finished the season with a school-record average of 45.6 yards per punt, collecting 2,825 punting yards on 62 attempts. Anger had 24 punts of 50 or more yards during this season, including a long of 71 against Stanford. His other numbers included pinning opponents inside their 20-yard line 21 times, while he also forced opponents to make 21 fair catches. Anger had a career-high-tying eight punts today with a 42.9 average, including three punts of 50+ yards and a long of 56, with two boots inside the 20.

• PK Giorgio Tavecchio connected on his two longest field goals of the season, kicking a career-long 53-yarder to on the final play of the half and put Cal ahead 3-0 at the break. The kick was the longest field goal by a Cal player since a school-record-tying 55-yarder by Tom Schneider on Dec. 2, 2006, in the Big Game vs. Stanford. Tavecchio also had a 47-yarder in the fourth quarter that put the Golden Bears ahead, 13-10. Tavecchio's previous career long was a 51-yarder at Arizona State on Oct. 31, 2009.

• WR/RET Coleman Edmond had the longest return of his career with a 33-yarder in the fourth quarter.

• Ninth-year head coach Jeff Tedford concludes the 2010 season with a 72-42 (.631) all-time and Cal record, two victories behind the school's all-time leader, Andy Smith (74, 1916-25) and one shy of James Schaeffer (73, 1909-15).

• Cal ended 2010 with three straight losses, its first such streak since 2007, when it dropped its final three games of the regular season to USC, at Washington and at Stanford. The last time the Bears lost three straight at home came when Cal dropped eight in a spanning the final two home games of the 2000 season and all six of the 2001 campaign.

• Today was the final home game and last regular-season game as members of the Golden Bears for 16 players. The list includes LB Keith Browner, DB Chris Conte, DL Michael Costanzo, OL Donovan Edwards, OL Richard Fisher, TE Garry Graffort, OL Chris Guarnero, DB Darian Hagan, DL Derrick Hill, DL Cameron Jordan, LB Jerome Meadows, LB Mike Mohamed, DB Bryant Nnabuife, LB Jarred Price, QB Kevin Riley and WR/RET Jeremy Ross.

• With Cal playing its 2011 home games at AT&T Park in San Francisco, an additional 27 juniors also were part of a game at Memorial Stadium for the final time.
