- A two-way player who made his Cal debut as the starter in right field in the Feb. 23 series finale against Houston and was 0-for-2 at the plate while making a pair of sparkling defensive plays on a running catch on a fly ball down the right field line and by throwing out a Cougar hitter going for a double at second base from the right field wall
