Biography

As a Graduate (2024-25):
  • Appeared in all 34 games with a career-high 34 starts. 
  • Was invited to and played in the National Women's College All-Star game in Tampa, Florida on April 5.
  • Finished career ranked on several Cal all-time top 10 lists: 3rd for single-season FG% (60.3), 6th for career FG% (54.0), 10th for single-season blocks (44), 5th for career blocks (143).
  • Logged a career highs of 762 minutes and 22.4 minutes per game.
  • Led the ACC in FG% in overall (60.3) and conference (63.0) games. Ranked 11th in the NCAA.
  • Set career highs across several categories this year: FG%, rebounding (7.6), scoring
    (12.4) and double doubles (12).
  • Ranked second in the ACC for double-doubles (8) during conference play. 
  • Scored a career-high 26 points (12-of-14) against Miami.
  • Surpassed 1,000 career points against Boston College.
  • Was one of only 15 active players in the country with career totals of 1,000 points and 800 rebounds while shooting at least 54.0% from the field. 
  • Posted 17 points and 15 rebounds in the NCAA Tournament first round game against Mississippi State.

As a Senior (2023-24):
  • Appeared in all 34 games with 21 starts. 
  • Logged 651 minutes, averaging 19.2 minutes per game.
  • Led the team in blocks (37) and FG% (56.1) and offensive rebounds (96). 
  • Had her best season posting career highs in field goals (106), FG% (56.1), rebounds (212), blocks (37), steals (37) and points (261).
  • Grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds against Auburn on Nov. 17 and followed up with 18 rebounds against Florida A&M on Nov. 20.
  • Scored a career-high 21 points against UCLA on Feb. 2. 
  • Swiped a career-high five steals against San Jose State on Nov. 24.
  • Recorded two double-doubles: 15 points/10 rebounds at Washington State on Feb. 9 and 17 points/11 rebounds against Arizona State on Feb. 23.
  • Blocked a season-high four shots at Oregon on Feb. 29. 
  • Finished 3rd in the conference in FG% and fourth in offensive rebounds.
  • For the month of February, ranked 2in in the nation in FG% (72.0).


As a Junior (2022-23):
  • One of five players to appear in all 30 games during the season.
  • Logged 420 minutes, averaging 14.0 minutes per contest.
  • Finished as the team leader in rebounding (5.1) while coming off the bench…ranked top 25 in the Pac-12 and was the only player on the list to have not started a game.
  • Grabbed six or more rebounds in 13 games.
  • Led the team in rebounding in 12 games.
  • Had 55 offensive rebounds which ranked second on the team and 19th in the Pac-12.
  • Led the team in scoring off the bench at 6.6 points per game…ranking fifth on the team.
  • Tied her career-high with 16 points against Arizona State on Jan. 2.
  • Led the team with two double-doubles to give her six for her career…15 points and 11 rebounds against UCSD on Dec. 16 and 16 points and 11 rebounds against Arizona State on Jan. 2.
  • Was second on the team in total blocks with 22.
  • Had a career-high five blocks at No. 8 Utah on Feb. 23.
  • Scored six of Cal’s eight overtime points in the win against No. 25 USC on Feb. 19.
  • Shot 49.7 percent from the field (82-for-165).


As a Sophomore (2021-22):
  • One of three players to appear in all 24 games in 2021-22.
  • Logged 302 minutes averaging 12.6 minutes per contest. 
  • Averaged 4.8 points per game and 4.6 rebounds per game.
  • Grabbed five or more rebounds 13 times, finished with 10 or more rebounds twice. 
  • Finished with two double-doubles on the year to give her four her career. 
  • The first double-double came against McNeese St. on Dec. 11, scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds in 18 minutes of action. The other came against Cal State LA on Feb. 16 with 13 points and 12 rebounds in 21 minutes of action.
  • Shot 48.0 percent from the field (48-for-100).
  • Shot 76.9 percent from the free throw line (20-for-26). 
  • Had 10 points and nine rebounds in the win over Fresno State on Dec. 2. 
  • Was tremendous against Utah in the Pac-12 Championships, finishing with 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds and blocked two shots in 23 minutes of action. 
  • Finished with 17 blocks on the year which was third on the team. 
 

As a Freshman (2020-21):
  • Played in all 17 games making 11 starts in her freshman campaign
  • Logged 408 minutes, averaging 24.0 minutes per contest.
  • Made her collegiate debut against San Jose State on Nov. 25, played eight minute and scored four points for the Bears.
  • Averaged 8.9 points per game which was fourth on the Bears, her 151 points was tied for second most on the team.
  • In Pac-12 play she scored 123 points which was second on the team, averaging 9.5 points per game.
  • Finished the season with eight games in double figures.
  • Scored a season-high 16 points at USC on Dec. 21
  • Had two double-doubles on the year, the first coming at Colorado (13 pts, 12 reb.) on Jan. 15. The second against Arizona (13 pts, 10 reb.) on Feb. 19.
  • Finished first on the team in rebounds per game at 6.8 and total rebounds with 115.
  • The 6.8 rebounds per game ranked eighth in the Pac-12.
  • Had 10 or more rebounds four times.
  • Shot 46.9 percent from the field (61-for-13).
  • Had 23 blocks on the year which led the team, her 1.35 blocks per set was sixth in the Pac-12.


High School/Club Ball:
  • Ranked No. 34 overall by ESPN's HoopGurlz and the No. 9 overall post in the Class of 2020.
  • Averaged 18 points and 15 rebounds per game last season for Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
  • Plays her club ball for Cal Sparks gold (EYBL) under coach Elbert Kinnebrew
  • Top rebounding averages in EYB in summer 20219.
  • Also a standout in track and field, competing at the CIF Championships in the triple, long and high jump


Personal :
  • Daughter of Tina and Levi Onyiah.
  • Sister, Onyeka, attended Cal and graduated in 2014.
  • Chose Cal for the academics, team, and family aspect of the school.
  • Also enjoys mountain biking, building go-karts and designing things on CAD and Fusion.
