Sydney Mitsui is entering first season as a full-time athletic trainer with Cal Men’s Gymnastics for the 2025 campaign. She served as an athletic training fellow with the team from Jan. 2022-Dec. 2023, later serving full-time with Cal Softball in the spring of 2024 before rejoining the men’s gymnastics squad.
Mitsui, who was born in Hawai’i and grew up in Roswell, New Mexico, graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2021 with a bachelor’s of science in athletic training. She is set to graduate in Dec. 2024 with a master’s in adult education from the University of Phoenix.
