Imhotep "Tap" George is in his first year as a graduate assistant for the California men's basketball program in 2025-26. He joined Mark Madsen's support staff during the 2025 offseason.

George played basketball collegiately at Allegany College (2018-20), Tallahassee State College (2020-21), Eastern Washington (2021-23) and Virginia State (2023-24). He averaged 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while shooting 39.7% from 3-point range in his final year with Virginia State.

George hails from Brooklyn, New York.
