A three-year All-American at Cal from 1976-78, the only Golden Bear soccer player to achieve that honor at the time … also earned Pacific Coast Conference honors all four years … was a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic team … finished his career as the No. 2 all-time scorer and No. 4 leader in assists … selected to play in the Senior Bowl in 1978 and played on numerous select teams for the U.S. in Europe … played professionally in Philadelphia and Montreal after his graduation … considered by Bob DiGrazia, who coached at Cal for 28 years, the most outstanding player during that time period.
