Four year starter with Cal in the outfield who earned All-Pac-6 honors in 1987, 88 and 89…..played for the U.S. National Team in Cuba 1987… was Cal’s leading hitter in both 1988 (.342) and 1989 (.333), earning team Most Valuable Player honors both seasons…. led Bears to the 1988 College World Series, where he was named to the All-Tournament Team…. Currently ranks second on Cal’s career lists in both hits (286) and runs scored (204) …. Also ranks among the school’s Top 10 in at-bats (849, 3rd), triples (12, 3rd), walks (150, 3rd), stolen bases (100, 4th), games played (221, 4th) and total bases (359, tied for 9th) … also appears on Cal’s single season charts for runs scored (66 in ’87, tied for 3rd) and walks (50 in ’87, 7th).
