Cal's first world-record holder … set the global mark in the high jump in 1914 with a sensational jump of 6-7.25, a record that stood for 10 years … when Cal competed at the Big Ten championships, tied for first in the high jump in both 1911 (5-9 7/8) and 1912 (5-11 3/8).
