Men's Tennis Wins Dogfight
BERKELEY, Calif. -- The Cal men's tennis team recorded its first Pac-10 win of the season after defeeating Washington 4-3 at the Hellman Tennis Complex, Sunday afternoon.
The match was close throughout as the Huskies captured Nos. 1, 2, and 4 singles. The Golden Bears were able to keep up with the Huskies as No. 3 Chris Santoso, No. 5 Minh Le and No. 6 Brian Fernando all recorded singles victories for Cal.
The Golden Bears' doubles play proved to be the difference as Cal won all three matches to claim the decisive doubles point.
Cal returns to action Tues., Feb. 25 when it hosts Utah at the Hellman Tennis Complex for a 1:30 p.m. start.
