Cal Men's Tennis Defeats Arizona, 6-1
BERKELEY, Calif. - The California men's tennis team
defeated Arizona today, 6-1, at the Hellman Tennis Center.
The Golden Bears won five of six singles matches and two of
three doubles matches to record the Pac-10 victory.
At No. 1 singles Cal's Chris Santoso won a hard-fought three-set
match over Henrik Wagner, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6. Cal won two other three
set matches in singles play, No. 3 Nathan Jackmon and No. 5 Minh Le.
Arizona's lone singles victory came at No. 2 singles, as Tom
Haugland defeated Alex Sueur, 6-3, 6-4. In doubles Haugland teamed
up with Henrik Wagner to win 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.
