Cal Men's Tennis Cruises Past Oregon
BERKELEY, Calif. - The University of California men's
tennis team scored an impressive victory this evening over the
University of Oregon. Cal won five of six singles matches and cruised
to a 6-1 win over the Ducks.
Winning for the Golden Bears was No. 1 Alex Sueur, who defeated
Dougal Williams in three sets (6-1, 3-6, 6-3). Also winning for Cal
was No. 2 Chris Santoso, No. 3 David Sutton, No. 4 Minh Le and No. 6
Miguel Arriaga.
Cal punctuated the win by winning all three doubles matches. The
victory improves the Bears record to 4-3 overall.
The Golden Bears next match is at home on Sat., March 8 against
Stanford at noon.
