Was drafted in the 24th round by the Florida Marlins as a senior...became Cal's starting shortstop as a sophomore and saw action at both third base and shortstop as a senior...was outstanding towards the end of the 2007 Pac-10 season, producing a two-home run, five-RBI game versus Arizona State, and a two HR and game-winning home run versus USC...had a strong arm and could hit for both power and average...was named a New England Collegiate Baseball League All-Star in the summer of 2008, batting .299 and helping the Vermont Mountaineers to back-to-back league titles...
