The Match-Up
The 13th-ranked California women's tennis team, 14-6 overall, 4-4 in the Pac-10 southern division, travels to Los Angeles to play the No. 5 UCLA Bruins, Friday, April 18 at 1:30 p.m. and No. 33 USC, Saturday, April 19 at noon.

The Lineups
Seven Cal players are expected to see action this week. The tentative singles lineup includes; Amanda Augustus, Francesca La'O, Claire Curran, Stephanie Tibbits, Esther Knox and Lisa Swierniak. Expect to see teams of Augustus/Curran, La'O/Knox and Swierniak/Jenny Lee in doubles play.

Match Update
Against No. 8 Arizona State on April 11, the Bears defeated the Sun Devils, 5-4. The Bears picked up big wins at Nos. 1-3 including Augustus' 6-2, 6-3 upset of 18th-ranked Reka Cseresnyes.

In Cal's final home competition of the season, the Bears swept 14th-ranked University of Arizona, 6-0, on April 12. Augustus picked up her second win over a Top 10 player in 10 days as she defeated No. 5 Vicky Maes in play at No. 1 singles. La'O also had a strong win with her straight set victory over No. 35 Karen Goldstein.

The Bears are currently the No. 13-ranked team on the ITA's Spring No. 4 Charts, released April 15. Individually, Cal players rank as follows:

The Coaches
One of the Top 10 winningest coaches in women's collegiate tennis, Jan Brogan is in her 19th year as the Bears head coach with a career record of 342-139(.711). She is joined by first-year assistant Ann Henricksson, who spent more than 15 years on the women's professional tour.
