Making a statement that the Golden Bears' rushing attack is clicking, senior tailback
Justin Forsett is the winner of the Muscle Milk California Student-Athlete of the Week following his performance Sept. 15 against Louisiana Tech.
Forsett's big numbers against the Bulldogs included 152 yards on 23 carries (6.6 average) and a career-best three touchdowns. His two-yard run in the second quarter was the Golden Bears' first offensive touchdown of the day, and his 39-yard TD rumble was the longest scoring rush of his career. He added a one-yard plunge early in the fourth quarter to leave Cal fans with their first three-TD performance since the Las Vegas Bowl in 2005.
Forsett has now broken the 2,000-career rushing mark (2,041) at Cal. In his five career games with over 15 carries, he is averaging 178.6 yards per contest.
