Golden Bear senior Ayinde Ubaka is the Muscle Milk California Student-Athlete of the Week after a huge performance in the Goden Bears' road victory over archrival Stanford on Wednesday.
The Oakland product scored 15 of his season-high 26 points in the first half to lead Cal to a 67-63 win at Stanford - the Bears' first victory at Maples Pavilion since 1993, a stretch of 13 games. Cal led for most of the game, but after Stanford cut its deficit to 58-57 with 3:51 left, Ubaka scored seven of Cal's final nine points to seal the win. Ubaka's point total was the second highest of his career, eclipsed only by his 29 points vs. Oregon last season.
Cal is now 10-5 overall and 2-1 in Pac-10 action. The Bears host Washington State on Thursday and Washington on Saturday at Haas Pavilion.
