California women's rowing will be well represented by both current and former Golden Bears at the 2026 World Rowing Championships. World champions will be crowned at the historic Bosbaan rowing course in Amsterdam from August 24-30.
 
Rising junior Olivia Roth will compete for Switzerland in the women's pair. This will be Roth's second-consecutive appearance at senior worlds after competing in the Swiss quadruple sculls entry. Roth has made an impression in her first two seasons in Berkeley, most recently helping Cal's varsity eight win bronze at the 2026 ACC Championships and finish second in the petite final at the NCAA Championship. Other highlights from the season for the V8+ included a pair of race wins over No. 5 Washington at the Big Ten Invitational and victories over No. 12 Rutgers, No. 17 Michigan and No. 20 UCLA at the same event. Roth was awarded CRCA Second Team All-America and All-ACC Second Team honors.
 
Julianne Faralisch ('23) will row for Germany in the women's quadruple sculls. Faralisch has featured for Germany at several World Rowing Cups and the 2019 senior world championships. She most recently claimed the silver medal at the 2026 European Championships in the quadruple sculls. Faralisch was a national champion, two-time CRCA All-American and three-time All-Conference honoree in her time at Cal. She rowed in the varsity eight for most of her collegiate career, including the gold medal-winning boat at the 2018 NCAA Championships.
 
Antonia Galland ('24) will also compete for Germany in the women's eight. This will be Galland's second appearance at senior worlds after competing in 2023 in the same event. Galland, a 2023 Second Team All-American, rowed in the Bears' varsity eight during her time in Berkeley, which was highlighted by a runner-up finish at the 2024 Pac-12 Championships – Cal's highest finish since 2018.
 
Star Rose Miller ('26) has been named a spare for Australia while Julia Irmler ('26) is a named alternate for Germany. Both Miller and Irmler rowed in Cal's top varsity eight boat along with Roth this past season.
 
The world champions of 12 heavyweight Olympic boat classes – six for men and six for women – will be crowned at the event. Fans can find the complete schedule and follow live results on the official World Rowing website throughout the week.
