MILIBRAE - The California women's golf team currently holds the team lead after the first day of the Silicon Valley Showcase at Green Hills Country Club. The Bears shot even par as a team and lead second place Eastern Michigan by four strokes entering the final day of the tournament.
 
Junior Jasmine Kahler led the team, shooting a 2-under par 140, ending the day in a tie for second place, four shots behind Eastern Michigan's leader Baiyok Sukterm. Senior Adora Liu shot a 1-under par 141, just one stroke behind Kahler, ending the day in a tie for fifth place.
 
Junior Constance Fouillet ended the day in a tie for 15th place after carding a 3-over par 145. Senior Anna Molloy bounced back after shooting a rough 7-over par 78 in round, shooting a season best 1-under par 70 in round two to end the day in a tie for 25th place (6-over 148).
 
The Bears will begin play tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. PT.
