Bears Tied For Fourth After First Day Of The Goodwin

Cox And Cong Lead The Way At Two-Under Par

STANFORD - California freshman Trevor Cox and redshirt sophomore Sihao Cong led the way for the Bears on day one of the Goodwin. Both Bears shot a 2-under par 68 in round one ending the day in a tie for 18th place.
 
Freshman Xihuan Chang shot a 1-under par 69 in round one, ending the day in a tie for 28th place. The Bears finished in a tie for fourth place after the first day shooting a 5-under par 275.
 
Stanford leads the team competition at 11-under par, while San Diego State sophomore Harry Takis leads the field of players at six-under par.
 
The Bears will begin play tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. PT.
