CORVALLIS, Ore. – Freshman Michelle Woo shot 1-under par to finish in second place individually and the California women's golf team placed in a tie for third overall as the Molly Collegiate Invitational came to a close Tuesday at Trysting Tree Golf Club.

Woo, playing in just the second stroke play tournament of her career, spent some of the final round in a tie for the lead before finally settling for a runner-up finish. She pocketed an Eagle on the par-4, 370-yard eighth hole and carded a 1-over 73 for the day. Woo finished two strokes behind individual medalist Darae Chung of Oregon.

Junior Jasmine Kahler also recorded a top-10 finish, tying with five other golfers at 5-over par to place 10^th.

The Bears are now off until they travel to Scotland to take part in the St. Andrews Link Collegiate along with Cal's men's program Oct. 13-15.
