Infielder/Outfielder Carl Schmidt And Righthanded Pitcher Ethan Foley Selected For Saturday’s Annual Showcase

Ethan Foley were selected to represent their respective summer teams in the Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game this Saturday. Schmidt is a member of the Falmouth Commodores and will suit up for the West squad, while Foley plays for the Orleans Firebirds and is on the East roster.
Schmidt has played in 26 of 28 CCBL games for Commodores in 2025 and is hitting .280 (28-100) with six doubles, one homer, 10 RBI and six stolen bases.
Foley is 3-0 with a 1.10 earned run average over nine appearances all out of the bullpen for Orleans. He has 24 strikeouts in 16.1 innings pitched for an average of 13.22 per nine innings. He has also posted an 0.86 WHIP, allowing just nine and five walks.
First pitch for Saturday's CCBL All-Star Game is 1:05 p.m. PT. The game and pre-game festivities including a home run derby will be broadcast on NESN Nation beginning at 10 a.m. The 2025 edition of the Cape's annual mid-summer classic is being hosted by the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox at Red Wilson Field.
