Four members of California's swimming & diving programs have been named to the World University Games roster for Team USA.

Rising senior Abby Herscu, rising sophomore Violet Williamson and incoming freshman Teagan O'Dell each earned berths to represent the United States at the competition being held in Berlin in July while incoming freshman Ryan Erisman secured a spot on the men's team.         

The quartet joins eight other Golden Bears who were previously named to Team USA's roster for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships this summer in Singapore – alums Jack Alexy, Destin Lasco, Gabriel Jett, Dare Rose, rising juniors Keaton Jones and Ariana Drake as well as incoming freshman Claire Weinstein. Incoming freshman Ella Cosgrove also earned a spot at Worlds for Team Canada.

Incoming freshmen Elle Scott (Country), Kenny Barnicle and Norvin Clontz are also competing internationally this summer for the United States at the World Junior Championships in Romania in August.

The swimming and diving events at the World University Games will take place July 17-23 at the Schwimm-und Sprunghalle im Europasportpark while the World Aquatics Championships for swimming and diving will be held July 26-Aug. 3 at the World Aquatics Championships Arena and the OCBC Aquatic Centre. The World Junior Championships are slated to be held at the Otopeni Aquatics Complex from Aug. 19-24.
