No. 4 Cal Dominates Air Force To Close Nonconference Slate

Bears Drain 25 Goals In Dominating Win

BERKELEY – The No. 4 California men's water polo team (14-3) ended its 2025 nonconference slate with a dominating win over Air Force (15-11), 25-10, on Friday at Spieker Aquatics Complex.
 
The Golden Bears earned their second win against the Falcons on the season in a similar fashion to the match earlier this season on Aug. 30, when Cal won 25-10.
 
Kai Inoue and Dominic Brown led the way for Cal after scoring four goals apiece, while Inoue added three assists to the box score. Alex Oprea and Gigo Sarimsakci added three goals each to help the Bears to the convincing win.

  • Cal opened the game with three straight goals in the first four minutes.
  • Dominic Brown recorded the first goal of the game.
  • The Bears scored seven goals in the second and eight in the fourth
  • Kai Inoue posted a team-high three assists.
  • Kai Inoue and Dominic Brown tallied four goals apiece.
  • Cal recorded 11 steals in the contest.
  • The Bears shot 74 percent (25-for-34) from the field.
  • Cal converted on all six power play opportunities.
  • Cal has seven players with at least two goals.
  • Four Bears recorded at least two steals.
  • Cal won three of the four sprints.
