Molloy Clinches Cal’s 4-0 Win At SDSU
SAN DIEGO/LA JOLLA, Calif. – For the third time in four California victories,
Jack Molloy clinched the win as the Golden Bears defeated San Diego State, 4-0, at the Aztec Tennis Center on Thursday. The freshman beat Rafael Gonzalez, 6-4, 6-0, at court-three singles to close out the nonconference dual match.
Cal improved to 4-4 with the win, while SDSU fell to 2-8.
Molloy also clinched Cal's 4-3 win over Oregon on Jan. 29 and Cal's 4-2 win at Tulsa on Jan. 14.
Also Thursday in nearby La Jolla, California, Cal began play in the Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championships held at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. Cal freshmen

Jackson Suh lost to the UC Davis pair of Mitchell Iwahiro and Arjith Jayaraman, 8-6. The ninth-seeded pair of Cal sophomore Bjorn Hoffman and Director of Men's Tennis
Peter Wright was scheduled to play USC's Henry Ji and Jens Sweaney in the opening round of the open tournament, but the Bears retired with an injury.
The doubles tournament runs through Sunday.
