Jana Juricova Post-match Quotes (Courtesy of ITA Communications)
On playing against Sanchez-Quintanar, who hit with a lot of spin
"Playing this type of opponent on such a slow court, I knew that we were going to have a lot of long rallies. Throughout the match, I was trying to remind myself to structure the point well. It was a great match, really fun, and a good challenge for the first round."
On whether she changed anything in the third set
"I think I played pretty much the same [in] all three sets. It was just a matter of not rushing too much and waiting for the right shot. That's what I did really well in the third set, which made the difference."
On playing well at important events such as the National Indoors and NCAA Championships
"I really love this tournament. I've done really well here, and this is my senior year, so I want to do well, again. We try to structure our practices and schedule to do well at the big tournaments."
