Andrews and Konigsfeldt Earn Spot in Consolation Final

TULSA, Okla. - The fifth-ranked California men's tennis doubles team of senior Nick Andrews and junior Christoffer Konigsfeldt advanced to the consolation final of the 2011 ITA Men's All-American Tennis Championships at the Michael D. Case Center on Sat., Oct. 8. The Golden Bears took out North Carolina's sixth-ranked duo of Brennan Boyajian and Jose Hernandez, 8-4, in the semifinal.

The Cal duo seeks its fourth straight victory when it faces Ohio State's team of Devin McCarthy and Ille Van Engelen at 10 a.m. CT on Sun., Oct. 9, in the doubles consolation final. McCarthy and Van Engelen also earned an 8-4 victory in their semifinal match as they took out Mississippi State's seventh-ranked tandem of Louis Cant and Malte Stropp.
