Schedule of Play and Results 
ST. HELENA, Calif. - The California men's tennis team fought out several tough matches but the Golden Bears were held winless in round-robin singles matches on day two of the 2010 Land Rover Napa Valley Tennis Classic at Meadowood Resort on Saturday, Sept. 25.
Senior Jonathan Dahan played his first match of the year as he replaced No. 17-ranked senior Pedro Zerbini in the lineup, fell, 6-4, 7-5, to No. 62 Abe Souza of Illinois. No. 123-ranked junior Nick Andrews drew No. 18 Ed Corrie of Texas in a match but was held off as Corrie earned a 6-1, 6-4 win.
Sophomore Carlos Cueto was edged out of a first-set win by Kentucky's No. 8-ranked Eric Quigley, 7-6, as he lost, 7-5, in the tiebreaker. Quigley capitalized on the momentum and claimed the second set, 6-2, for the win. No. 122-ranked sophomore Christoffer Konigsfeldt lost, 6-4, 6-2, to Jack Sock of the USTA.
In doubles matches, Andrews and Konigsfeldt teamed up to take an 8-6 win against Bjorn Fratangelo and Mitchell Krueger of the USTA. Senior Zach Gilbert and junior Sky Lovill came away with a 9-8 win over Marcos Giron and Alexios Haelbian with a 10-3 win in the tiebreaker.
Round-robin singles play concludes with matches at 8 a.m. PT on Sunday, Sept. 26. The winner of the singles competition will receive a wild-card entry to a future USTA Pro Circuit event.
