16th Annual Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational Home Page

TEMPE, Ariz. - The California women's tennis team concluded the fall tournament season with the completion of the third and final day of the 16th-annual Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational at the Whiteman Tennis Complex on Sunday, Nov. 7.

Sophomore Annie Goransson earned a 6-0, 6-0 win over Oregon's Patricia Skowronski in singles consolation. Junior Stephany Chang was dealt a 6-2, 6-0 loss by Anna Depenau of San Diego. In doubles play, Goransson teamed with sophomore Tayler Davis. The pair fell, 9-8, with an 8-6 score in the tiebreaker to Michigan's tandem of Sam Critser and Rika Tatsuno.

The Golden Bears return to Berkeley and will open 2011 as hosts of the Cal Winter Invitational at Hellman Tennis Complex, Jan. 21-23. Dual matches begin on Jan. 28 when Cal hosts the ITA Kick-Off Weekend event. Please visit CalBears.com for more information.
